A couple on e-bikes looking out over the Adriatic Sea near Dubrovnik

About Us

We're locals who think Dubrovnik is best seen slowly.

E-Bike Point started with a simple idea. The Dubrovnik we love isn’t only the one on the postcards. It’s also the morning swim off the rocks in Lapad, the smell of pine in Petka Forest, fishing boats coming into Gruž, and the moment on the road up Mount Srđ when the whole Old Town suddenly appears below you, small enough to hold in your hand.

Most visitors never see that side of the city. They arrive, follow the crowd through the same gate, walk the same street and leave. We wanted to give them another way: quieter, freer and closer to how people here actually live.

So we put them on e-bikes.

A city that was always ahead of its time

Dubrovnik has never been an ordinary place. For centuries it was the Republic of Ragusa, a small independent city-state that held its own between great empires through diplomacy, trade and an extraordinary fleet of merchant ships. Its motto, still carved above the gate of Fort Lovrijenac, reads:

“Non bene pro toto libero venditur auro”: freedom is not sold for all the gold in the world.

The Republic lasted until 1808, when Napoleon’s army brought it to an end. What remained is one of the best-preserved walled cities in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, with walls that run nearly two kilometres around the Old Town.

But Dubrovnik doesn’t stop at its walls. Above it rises Mount Srđ, 412 metres of rock and wild herbs with the most famous view on the Adriatic. To the west lies Lapad, a green peninsula of pine trees, beaches and family homes. To the north, the sea reaches inland along Rijeka dubrovačka, where noble families once built their summer villas, and where the Ombla river bursts straight out of the mountain into the sea after only a few dozen metres, one of the shortest rivers in the world.

That’s the Dubrovnik we want you to discover.

Why e-bikes?

Because Dubrovnik is a city of hills and stairs, and an e-bike turns them into the best part of your day.

The electric motor does the hard work, so you don’t need to be fit or experienced. Couples with different fitness levels can ride side by side. Families can explore together. You can climb to viewpoints that most visitors only see from a cable car or a bus window, and still have the energy for a swim afterwards.

It’s also the gentlest way to move through a city that receives far more visitors than it was ever built for. No engine noise, no exhaust, no parking stress. You just glide past the queues to the places that are still quiet.

What we do

We’re based in Lapad, at Ćira Carića 1, away from the crowds of the Old Town and close to the sea. From here we offer:

  • Freedom Ride: your own e-bike for the day, from 9 AM to 9 PM, with a route and local tips.
  • Explorer Ride: our carefully crafted route to hidden coves, swim stops, the best views and local places to eat.
  • Ride & Wine: a day of exploring that ends with a tasting of three Croatian wines at Bistro Bacchus.
  • Shore & Ride: e-bike delivery to the Gruž cruise terminal, so cruise guests can make the most of their day in port.

Every ride comes with a helmet, a lock, a route map and the kind of tips you only get from people who live here.

Our bikes

We ride MS Energy e-bikes, made by a Croatian brand. They’re comfortable step-through bikes, easy to get on and off, with hydraulic disc brakes, gears and a battery that easily lasts a full day of exploring. We check every bike before every ride, because a good day out starts with a bike you don’t have to think about.

Our friends in Lapad

The perfect ride ends at a good table. Our neighbour and partner is Bistro Bacchus, a family-owned restaurant in Lapad built on nearly seven decades of Croatian culinary tradition. That’s where our Ride & Wine guests raise a glass at the end of the day, and where many of our riders come back for dinner.

Along our routes you’ll also find partner cafés and spots where E-Bike Point guests get special offers, plus a discount on local boat excursions. When you ride with us, you’re supporting local family businesses, not just visiting them.

What we believe

Slow is better. You remember the places where you stopped, not the ones you rushed past.

Local is better. The best konoba, the quietest cove and the most beautiful view are rarely on the first page of a guidebook.

Lighter is better. Dubrovnik is beautiful and fragile. Exploring it quietly, without engines, is our small way of taking care of the city we call home.

Come and say hello

I’m Vedran, and Dubrovnik is the city I call home. I’ll be the one handing you your bike. Tell me what you love (swimming, views, history or food) and I’ll tell you exactly where to ride.

See you on the road.
Vedran
